Homemade Baby Food

I spent last Friday night with a few good friends making baby food for our little people.  We've all had babies in the last 6 months and wanted to test out our skills with mashing-steaming-blending-chopping some really yummy, healthy food for our newest additions.

Special thanks to Alyssa for hosting and graciously letting her kitchen become a disaster zone for a few hours.  It was so much fun and each girl went home with at least one month's worth of food.  Now we're pros!

Mom Saves the Day!

With Jodi traveling for work, caring for an extra child, Paeton having a 4-day weekend from school and Logan still on isolation, my mom rose to the occasion and swept into Milwaukee for a 6 day trip to help me stay sane.  We had a great time working side by side caring for all four children, making some great meals and letting the grandchildren love all over her.

 To celebrate Paeton's break from school, we brought up some toys from the basement to make the main floor more exciting.  Evan was thrilled.

 My mom got Paeton a doctor cart and a matching dress up outfit.  Now she can fix all her horses when they are hurt.

 Logan took in all the action from the kitchen table.  He loves to watch the older kids play.

 Evan missed a few naps and crashed on the couch when he could.

Growing into such a little man.

Thanks mom for all the laundry you did, meals you cooked, baby food you fed Logan, diapers you changed and loud noise you put up with.  I hope you had fun!  You are so missed.

Willow's Literacy Night

Willow Springs hosted a 'Literacy Night' a few weeks ago.  The kids got to attend in their pajamas and move from room to room participating in various 'story' related activities.  Jodi and I loved watching her engage in these activities and follow the set rules of her classroom.

Afterwards we went to Sweet Frog for some frozen yogurt.  Paeton said "This was the best night ever!"
