16 Weeks!

I'm trying to do a better job of tracking my tummy growth with #3.  I didn't do it with Paeton or Evan so I figured I'd give it a whirl with this one.  We don't own a floor length mirror in this house - the children kept breaking them.  So...my only way to take a picture of myself while Jodi is at work is to stand on the toilet seat in the guest bathroom.  Weird, but it works.

A few Easter pix

SO sick with the flu...I couldn't take pictures and I certainly couldn't be in any.  I was really sad about it.  Thanks Jodi for taking a few so we had some memories from this Easter!

My New Sign

While I had the flu, I found one of my notebooks from Kohl's. In the back of the notebook was an ongoing list of projects I wanted to complete around my house.  Nothing was checked off.  I decided to pick an item off the list and do it...as soon as I wasn't sick.

So, this is it.  I had been inspired by the words on the sign from a sermon of Pastor Chip's in 2011.  I had written down these words and thought they were a perfect summary of what we believe in as Christians.

I found the red sign at Goodwill - $4.99.  I taped off a black square and used chalkboard paint to fill it in.  Once that was dry I used a set of stamps I had to paint the words.  It took awhile.  But I really like how it turned out.  I'd love to make a second one for Pastor Chip to thank him for all he's taught me.

Kids in Motion

After being house bound for too many days, the kids and I finally got out and went to Kids in Motion, an indoor imaginative play place that we hadn't been to in close to a year.  Paeton spent the majority of her time in the grocery store and the craft room.  Evan spent ALL his time in the construction room.  Have I ever mentioned I love having a boy and a girl?

Gift from God

SO excited and blessed to create this blog entry announcing our most recent gift from God....a beautiful baby growing in my belly.
Yes, #3 is on the way!
We are 15 weeks along, in the 2nd trimester and due somewhere between Sept.30 and Oct. 1st :)  I only say that because we've been quoted both dates.

Here's baby's first pic:
Here was me at 12 weeks:
A couple of questions you may ask...
Are we crazy?  Probably :)
Are we finding out what we're having? Not this time...!
Is Paeton excited? Completely stoked...she kisses and hugs the 'baby' multiple times each day.
Is Evan excited? He has no clue.
Is Jodi excited? Of Course...he can't wait to do the taxes next year!
How are you feeling? The beginning stunk, then I was feeling great and totally nesting till I got the flu.
Are you getting a minivan? Not unless Jodi's car dies...
How many bedrooms do you have? 3...we've already moved P&E in together and they love it.

I think any more questions than this are too personal and require a phone call :)

Spring Break Trip 2012

Hot Days In Tennessee
We took a Spring Break Trip to visit our good friends The Warrens (Krista, Jeremy, Reagan & Davis) in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.  Jeremy and Jodi used to be business partners when they worked for Ace Mortgage and we all got to be very close friends.  It was a sad day when they moved back to Tennessee.  This reunion was long overdue and just a fantastic time.  Our kids played great together and the Warrens were great hosts.  These pictures represent just a few highlights from our trip.  We shared many meals together and lots of laughs.  It was a sad good-bye but we're committed to see each other more often and I know we will.

Churchill Downs

The fam and I stopped by Churchill Downs the morning after we spent the night in Louisville, KY...first stop on our road trip to TN.  Paeton LOVES horses as you know so we chose this purposely as our pit stop.  We had a great morning taking various tours, watching a cool horse video and seeing some horses.  The kids loved it for sure.  Before we left, we raded the gift shop and Paeton got a lot of cool souvenirs.  So glad we did this!
